We are deeply saddened to hear of Phil Lind’s recent passing. We have lost a remarkable contributor and passionate supporter of the arts.
An alum and long-time champion of arts and culture, Phil’s contributions through UBC include the Phil Lind Initiative, Phil Lind Chair in U.S. Politics and Representation, the U.S. Studies Program, the Rogers Multicultural Film Production Project, and the Belkin Gallery’s Curator’s Forum.
Phil Lind was a trailblazer in the media and telecommunications industry and a leader in the arts and education community. We are deeply grateful to have had him as a philanthropic partner and are honoured to continue to steward his legacy.
We join UBC Interim President and Vice-Chancellor Deborah Buszard in offering our deepest condolences to the Lind family.
