UBC Killam Awards and Fellowships have been announced. Congratulations to these exceptional Arts educators.
Instituted in 1990, the Killam Teaching Prizes are awarded annually to faculty nominated by students, colleagues, and alumni to recognize teaching excellence. This year’s recipients of the Killam Teaching Prize in Arts are:
- Dr. Manuela Constantino (Coordinated Arts Program/Department of English)
- Dr. Matthew Evenden (Department of Geography)
- Dr. Laura Janara (Department of Political Science)
- Dr. Siobhan McElduff (Classical, Near Eastern & Religious Studies)
- Dr. Vin Nardizzi (Department of English)
- Dr. Ralph Sarkonak (French, Hispanic & Italian Studies)
In recognition of the valuable role that Teaching Assistants play in undergraduate programs, the Killam Graduate Teaching Award is presented to TAs who have been nominated for outstanding work resulting in a high level of respect from undergraduate students and course supervisors. This year’s recipients of the Killam Graduate Teaching Award in Arts are:
