Join us for this open mic night hosted by equity and inclusion activist and spoken word artist Ky Sargeant. Performers will bring original or published monologues, spoken word, poetry and short stories on topics including sexual identity, femininity and gender-based violence.
A talk back follows with UBC’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO), the audience and performers. This event is held in honour of International Women’s Month and Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31. Admission is free and complimentary beverages and snacks will be provided. Presented by exposure UBC and UBC Arts & Culture District with the support of Laura Moss, Associate Dean of Arts, Students.
