The Centre for Student Involvement and Careers (CSI&C) in collaboration with the Arts Undergraduate Society is hosting the ‘GradReady: Tips for a Successful Application’ Webinar. You do not want to miss this webinar if you are considering graduate school but don’t know the technicalities behind the application process, or you have questions regarding ways to approach your desired Graduate studies faculties. Join Danielle Barkley and Julianna D’Souza from the CSI&C for this Interactive Grad School Application Workshop, catered especially for Arts students!

They will be going over all the tips and tricks for the best applications:

  • Answering application questions such as “What do you hope to learn?” and “Why did you choose this program?”
  • Reviewing resources for preparing a CV
  • How to write your statement of intent/personal statement
  • Requesting reference letters

Meet the presenter:

Danielle Barkley is a Career Educator who works with the Centre for Student Involvement and Careers to support students at UBC. She completed her M.A at the University of Toronto and her Ph.D. in English literature at McGill University. Danielle has previous experience as a university instructor and writing consultant. In addition to her current role at UBC, she has a freelance business writing online academic support materials and is currently working towards coach certification with the International Coaching Federation.
