Are you undecided about the major you want to pursue? Are you changing your mind on a major? Do you need some help to explore your options? The Faculty of Arts has a plethora of undergraduate programs to choose from. There is so much you can get out of the process of exploring the various fields of studies, and designing your unique path towards degree completion.
This session will feature a panel of Arts Academic Advisors (some are UBC Alumni) who will share their personal experiences and unique perspectives from exploring major options, to what they learned from their major of study, to opportunities made available by studying in their major, and more!
In this one hour session, you will have a chance to:
- Hear about major exploration stories from a panel of Academic Advisors with various academic backgrounds.
- Distinguish between self-declarable and competitive programs.
- Learn about the concept of parallel planning and the strategies / resources you can use if your first choice is no longer feasible.
This session is open to all Arts undergraduates in any year level and stages of their degree.
You’ll receive an email with the event link once you complete the registration survey.
