Wondering where an Arts degree can take you? Interested in learning from those who’ve been in your shoes to find out how to make the best of your time in UBC Arts?
Drop-in to Arts Alumni Talks and meet with a UBC Arts alum for casual – and candid – conversations about their UBC experience, student life and career journeys following graduation. Take advantage of this great opportunity to ask them anything that can help you imagine your future!
This is the first in a 5-part series featuring a different UBC Arts alum.
On Sept 23, meet Arts alumnus Derek Fung!
BA’99 (Psychology) and BA’00 (English)
Derek is a Senior Project Manager in the field of Information Technology and is currently working to implement systems and network upgrades within the healthcare sector, primarily focusing on Vancouver General and Children & Women’s Hospitals. A very proud UBC Arts alumnus, he also completed an MBA at Queen’s University and an MBA at Cornell University. As a member on the UBC Alumni’s Advisory council, Derek believes that a positive and impactful experience in university will invariably transform a student’s personal outlook and professional life for decades ahead.
This is a free event and lunch will be provided. Attendance is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
